My computer is toast. With no peanut butter. And no jelly either. So I will now be looking for a new computer. I'm thinking laptop. What I'm not looking forward to is Vista (I've heard it takes around 1g of memory just for the operating system).

I recently had a switch of work computers that resulted in me being without one for 2 days... I was starting to go insane! I don't know how you'd manage...
It would be so much nicer if it were a crumpet instead of toast. ;)
Good luck with the switch. My husband and I are moving to Macs as we need to upgrade in order to avoid Vista.
Ann - I'm probably the only person on Planet Earth who you'll hear this from, but...
I've had not problems with Vista. I KNOW!?! But it's true.
Bought my laptop last March and everything has been tickety-boo.

oops - that should have read "NO problems with Vista" not NOT.
Ann, had to hop over and see if you had a new machine yet. I ended up with Vista when I replaced my dead laptop, and you know, it's working okay. You just need enough memory. Like, a lot.
